Story and Setting

The narrative unfolds in a virtual world created as humanity’s last sanctuary after Earth’s collapse. This digital refuge, maintained on a lunar supercomputer, is home to powerful Servants—each representing renowned figures from various mythologies and histories. The main story centers on Charlemagne and his allies, who are forced into battle against a new threat that jeopardizes the fragile peace within SE.RA.PH. While the plot draws upon rich lore, it maintains a straightforward progression, focusing less on complex storytelling and more on frenetic action.

Gameplay

Fate/EXTELLA LINK excels in its core hack-and-slash mechanics. Players control one of 26 Servants, engaging in massive battles filled with hundreds of enemies on expansive maps. The combat system places a greater emphasis on strategic skill usage and chaining combos, removing the repetitive nature of earlier entries. Special attacks and Noble Phantasms add a dynamic flair, allowing for impressive screen-filling maneuvers unique to each character. The game also introduces multiplayer modes, letting up to eight players face off in challenging online skirmishes.

Characters and Progression

A standout feature is the diverse cast of playable Servants, drawn from a blend of history, legend, and literature.
